ABOUT JOSHUA LINDQUIST
Joshua Lindquist graduated cum laude from Duke University with
majors in computer science
and art history, a minor in religion, and a certificate in Japanese
language.
Joshua is a third generation artist in a
family of world renowned artist/craftsmen.
His
father, Mark Lindquist, is a distinguished sculptor and
photographer,
(see Wikipedia)
and his grandfather is the legendary woodturning pioneer
Melvin Lindquist (see Wikipedia).
Joshua grew up in New Hampshire working alongside both his father
and grandfather in their
New Hampshire and Florida Lindquist Studios. Joshua worked with his
parents from about the
age of five sweeping and cleaning the studios, packing and shipping,
etc., until he left for college.
After an internship with Microsoft before his senior year of
college, Lindquist moved to the Seattle area
and has worked at Microsoft since graduation. He has worked on a wide
variety of products
spanning the gamut from Outlook to undisclosed incubation projects
to Flight Simulator.
For the last six years, he has been a part of the team that makes
Halo.

In 2014 Josh bought 86 acres an hour and a half south west of
Bellevue.
The farm is located at the edge of a state forest, surrounded on
three sides.
Josh has begun building several major kiln designs and
continuing to make his glass art.
He's in the process of renovating a barn turning it into a
studio.
